At the start of this semester, I had a fresh and positive attitude towards school. I was assigned work on a daily basis and all was done in time. But as time progressed, I seemed to get lazier and lazier, until eventually, I stopped working altogether.
That isn't me...
I had all my final projects already assigned, yet I procrastinated. Why?... I have not the slightest idea.
Well the semester was coming to a close and I still had loads of work to do. I barely slept or ate. I was determined to finish. So with a business plan, a law test, accounting test, law presentation, a blog to maintain, and a booklet to create, I set out on my journey with my crosses burning my back. Littl edid I know the depth of work that lay ahead of me.
Countless sleepless nights. Crankiness due to lack of sleep. Constant gas pain because I dreaded having to take a break from work because trhat meant that I'd only take longer.
Wow... I can't believe that it's all over now. My fingers have ached, my mind grew fatigue. But after all is said and done, I have but two more days to carry this cross that we call eduaction on my back. No more shall I get bags under my eyelids (atleast not from schoolwork). No summer school say I. Nay!!
Numerous projects. So little time. Where do the 24 hours in a day go to when they whisk pass us like a frisbee being thrown about by a delinquent child?
I sit here behind my computer... Just awaiting the end of this post. Until August shall I drean of seeing you again education.
'Twas fun while it lasted, but all good things must come to an end. So I bid thee farewell, while I gather my tales to tell. tales of how I grew weary. Tales of how I struggled. But also, tales of how thy stressful endeavors pushed me into working. Mine dedication and determination to succeed has gotten me where I stand. With a great chance of passing all classes and a smirk ready to show itself.
Thanks to all my teachers who worked along with me. Thanks to all my friends who were there to give me an extra push when I needed it. Thanks to all involved in my success this semester!! It was most greatly appreciated.
Until next semester. I bid thee farewell...

Easter Sunday... Day at the Beach!!!
Mein oh mein... This was by faaaarrr THE BEST DAY OF MY ENTIRE EASTER!!!!
My whole family took the day off and we had a family day at the beach. We ate, we drank, we took pictures... Real kodak moments mein.
The water was fine. This was the sea, we went to an area located in front of Pal's Guest House in Foreshore Area, Dangriga Town. Just a minor ad for Pal's. lol.
So we took snacks and drinks (both virgin drinks and alcoholic drinks). Ofcourse we wouldn't drunk the kids. Or would we? muahaha-muahahaha. Just kidding. but then again, if we got them drunk then they'd fall asleep even faster and that's less work for us caz they'd stay asleep. hahahaha.
Oh and we also took pictures (on the log). The log was a huge part of our day. I know you must feel lost now but a picture will explain. We "worked" with the log. It was part of the family....

Regardless of the fact that we're all kooky at times, I luv my family....

Holy Saturday...
Well, well, well. This was an interesting day. Fun because almost my entire family was together. My three big sisters went to Dangriga (along with their kids, of course). So that was basically it altogether. That was the most fun part mein... caz my nephews started to stress the hell outta everybody. I know we should expect that from kids but mein. Lotta kids running around can send someone over the edge.
We had planne dto go out but everyone was pretty much "buslagged" and just fell asleep early. So that was that for Holy Saturday.

Good Friday...
Another day, another dollar... Good Friday was indeed another fun day. I spent it at home with my family but it was still enjoyable. My mom made HUDUT!!! Awesome. It was great. We could only eat a little bit caz it was alot of us but the little we got went a long way.
We watched lifetime too. That was like the funniest part of that day. My nephews watching lifetime. lol.
My niece wanted to go to Hopkins that night but Naaaaaahh!!! I would never. I told her I'd be frank... but I wasn't.. .I was only Leonie. hahahah. Anyways, quite frankly, I have seen enough people lose their lives on that road during the easter. I respect that day of all the easter days. I'm not willing to take that chance. So she got mad but now we're still alive so whatever...

Holy Thursday!!!
This was quite an interesting day.... Hmmm. Where to start?
Well, let us start at the beginning. lol. I got up and babysat my two nephews for about three hrs, then my little sister took over for me. I then helped my mom with the baking.
First there was the buns. Well that is such a funny story. Mommy made the mistake of using out aaaalllll teh flour that we had bought. and then, duh duh duh... The dough got too soft and alas, there was no more flour to throw in to remedy that situation. So moms got a cup and went over to the neighbor. She just proved what they say about black people: "They always wanna borrow some thing or the other from neighbors." Lol. But that cup really helped.
Then there was pudding. I don't even really wanna talk about that mein. I spent all day grating cassava and potatoes and only got a slice of the darn thing!! And it was a tiny piece too caz I was only sampling. :-(
Anyways, in the night, I met up with my two cousins who were visiting from New York and we hit the club. click here for a link to their pic:

It was awesome. I got rid of alot of stress. lol.

Monday to Wednesday
Mein oh mein... this was all work n no play and that made Lee a dull girl. lol. It was all eyes on my stats project. I barely had time for myself but I had to get the job done. Then I tried working on all my other assignments caz I wanted to finish up before the Easter weekend came about but as we all know, that was impossible. five projects, so little time. accounting phased me into a dead zone. I took out the paper several times and politely put it back up. School suck.
Small Business Magnagement...
so stressing me out.
Anyways, we'll see what happened as the holiday progressed.

Finally Home...
So i left Belize City on April 15th and headed home for easter. I ended up babysitting my two nephews caz my big bro was in Orange Walk doing some basket ball stuff. Now i luv me some kids but i luv me some basketball too so when i got the call and heard that I couldn't go, my heart shattered.
All in all I had crazy fun wit my two babies (4months old n 5 years old). I wanted to throw a real B-fit about not going but after all, i was glad i stayed. :)

To my family:
Every weeknight, I babysit my nephew and my "step-nephew" and they are indeed quite a handful at times. But although I tend to get extremely frustrated at the things my family does, I realize that they are the most important people in my life. They are the ones who are there to support me through all my endeavors. They correct me when I make mistakes and don't pass judgment on me because of my uniqueness.
They always show me love; each in his/her own way. They are there to pick me up when I fall and to cheer me on as I rise. Differences may cause turmoil, but where would we be without each other?
What may be normal for me may not be normal for others. But one thing I can proudly say is: regardless our minor dysfunctional factors, my family is perfect enough for me!!
I love you guys...
Hope family means the same to all you viewers too.

Where is the Love???
Just the other day I sat down
and watched the newscast...
It hurt my heart to see
We've become a people so lost.
"Love thy brothers and sisters."
These are the words of the Almighty.
But all I can see is
chaos and despair.
In the words of the Black-eyed Peas...
"People killing, people dying.
Children hurting, hear them crying.
Would you practice what you preach
Or would you turn the other cheek?
Father, father, father, help us
Send some guidance from above.
Caz people got me, got questioning
Where is the love??"
Belize was once a place of ultimate love, peace, joy, happiness, and togetherness. People are the ones who have wreaked havoc on our jewel and only people can undo what has been done. Wake up Belize!! WE must reunite and reclaim OUR country!! Together as one we must stand! Bring back the peace!

IDK mein....
I can't believe the things teachers do!! Who gives a lotta work right before the Easter Holidays? Don't you guys wanna enjoy it??
Anyways. I'm sitting up till all kinda hours at night these days doing assignments. I go to bed in the wee hours of the morning and have to get up at 6:00 a.m. (Thanks to my sis for wake up calls). When I get up, I just wanna roll over and sleep for another 3 hours. School sucks. So I'm here busting on assignments but it's larger than that!! Everything in life these days just seems like a mess.
So the main point of this post is to ask a somewhat basic question:
What do you do when you don't know where to turn when reality hits you too hard?
Any ideas? Caz I just don't know mein...

Gone But Not Forgotten...
A Tribute to Ezekiel Reid:
A beloved father, grandfather,
brother, uncle, and friend.
Gone but not forgotten
I sit and write for you today.
I struggle to find words to say...
Just how much I miss you.
Not a day goes by
That I don't think of you.
Gone but not forgotten...
At times... I'm...
So lost in this world.
I don't know what to do.
Where do I turn
when there's no more you?
I long to see your face once more,
If even for one day.
For even a glimpse
would satisfy me beyond belief.
My heart and mind would be so relieved
Just to be sure that you're safe.
Gone but not forgotten...
I sit here ...
Trying to find a way
to say
Just how much I miss you
more and more each day.
Gone but not forgotten...
I plea for one more chance
But alas, I must be patient.
At least I have you near my heart
To pay tribute and once again say:
Happy birthday grampy!!
One thing I'm sure of...
God's keeping you safe.
A beloved father, grandfather,

The best times in life huh?
Isn't it funny how things always seem easier when you're a kid???
Being so young, you don't even have a care in the world. You fall down and cry til someone close by gives you some attention then you're right back up doing that same thing that caused you to get hurt. Being the "baby" in the family is even more fun. You get away with everything, boss the older siblings around and get to go places where they can't go and do things they can't do anymore. Like kids these days get to pig out on all sorts of sweets but th eolder ones gotta watch what they eat caz parents are so worried about their dental health. lol. Then preschoolers get to take candy to school as snacks but high school kids gotta take healthy foods. Preschoolers actually have an alotted time for sleeping during school while "big kids" gotta steal chances to sleep in classes and get in trouble if they get caught. Babies just get pats on their backs til they fall back asleep.
Your youngest years are when you meet the person you'll have as your best friend for the rest of your life. That's when you make your forever enemies. That's when you have you first crush and don't even realize it til you reach like age 13 when you realize that the crush you have now isn't the first like what you were thinking. Good times... good times.
Mein... Being in junior college really makes me miss those good old childhood days. Don't you wish you could go back, if even for a week? (A day would be too short). Lol.

How low will they go?
I was watching the news last night and I caught an interview with the Prime Minister regarding that photo of the PUP lady in the guargian newspaper. I was so stunned when I heard the PM say that there's no one to blame for that because she had it posted on a public site (facebook). But I don't know mein. That just makes him seem so unfair... He does have a point but... Despite the fact that she is of the opposing party, she is still a human being, more so, a woman. Whatever happened to watching out for thy neighbor??? Everything is just so low these days... Look at Mayor Moya... She is the first female to hold that position. I, as well as a possible 90% of the Belizean women, believed that she, if no one else, would make a difference. But she let down thousands when she became just as low and corrupt as all other politicians. greed and power got to her, I assume. Million dollar home, fancy car... What happened to all the promises these people made to us, the citizens of Belize. POWER and GREED... Two of the world's seven deadly sins. Get caught up and it's like you're asking to get burned. That's probably why Belize is in the situation it's in. What do you guys think about this? Do you think he was right to say that? Or should he have taken another standpoint?

School...
Sometimes I gotta wonder if I'm really paying for a quality education. Some teachers just come to class for the sake of coming and whether they show up or not, they still get paid. Some students believe that stressing out their teachers will get them ahead sometimes caz they'll cancel class and stuff like that but we need to realize that WE are the ones working for the degree. Our teachers are there for a reason; they ALREADY have their degrees!!! School may suck at times but in the longer run, it's for our benefit. So let's all keep a positive attitude and work towards our goal. try to have fun at what you need to do. When You're having fun, doesn't time just fly on by? Enjoy being in the classroom. Enjoy learning. Create memories with schoolmates. School life is probably the best time you'll ever have in your entire life!! Make the most of it!!
Puzzles...
So I was watching this movie a few weeks ago and last night I got to think ing about it... I always say that I cant wait to get married. Marriage is a blessing from above and we should embrace it and cherish it once we are blessed with it. But I did and essay in English class and had to do some research after which I discovered that we have an extremely high divorce rate in the country of Belize. Why get married if you're not gonna be willing to work at your issues if/when they arise. For example, many say that if they every find out that their spouse is cheating, they'd leave them in a split second. But people make mistakes. If you were the one who cheated, think about how you'd feel if they just dropped you like a hot potato. In this movie, Janet Jackson went like real cuckoo with her dude caz they were getting a divorce and she didnt wanna split the profits from "her" book with him. But through the process of writing that book who was there to support her 110%? Her husband. And late at night when she couldn't sleep, he was by her side. Although people have issues, they should take the time out to atleast make an effort to work them out, especially if they are married and have kids.
Let's not be selfish. She should've shared atleast 80/20 with the guy. I really hope that you think about what I have written. Like I said in a previous post, communication is key. Take note of the little things. Little things are what build a relationship in the first place. Most naturally, it'll be lost if we lose sight of that. My opinion of marriage is that its pretty much the same as just being with someone. The only thing that really makes a difference is the ring on your finger.
Hope this sheds some light on those who think that marriage always results in disaster. Hopefully I'll get married someday and won't have to end up wondering :

Weird....
You know how a lot of people believe in mumbo-jumbo like if the inside of your palm itches then that means you'll come up on some money? Or if your left eye twitches then you'll see somebody that you haven't seen for a really long time? Or if you have a dream about certain things, a dream book could tell you what numbers to buy in the boledo or lottery so you can cash out??
Well I think all that is a whole pile of @!*&$... My eyes twitch all the time and I see the same people all the time. No one new. And my palm always itches too but I'm still financially embarrassed all the time. Now about the dream thing... We have a dream book at home but I rarely dream so I really wouldn't know. But my husband had a dream about alot of 26 and 62s. But since we take that stuff for granted, we didnt pay it any attention... Imagine my frustration when we heard that 26 played in the boledo that very night!! I was so ticked off because I told him to buy it just in case since our mothers are very much into that type of thing (not buying boledo but encouraging people to buy under those circumstances). Now that's one story that neither of us will ever tell our moms because that would get the both of us one across the face!! Lol!
Anyways... I guess the lesson behind that is that we should always listen to our mothers. After all......

Communication is KEY!!
I was in English class yesterday and we were going over an essay called "Sex, Lies and Conversation". At first I was pretty excited to read i because, like a normal teenager, I was under the impresion that it was about exactly what the title says. Unfortunately, it was not. But after reading it, it turned out to be very interesting. It discusses the different styles of communication of men, women, boys, and girls. There was an example whereby a guy always lay on the floor and put his hands over his eyes whenever his girlfriend said she wanted to talk. Being a female, I can understand why she felt offended. We chicas would assume that he was trying to block us out. But w never sem to realize that its just the way men communicate. They use different body language, different affirmation, etc. For example, when females talk, we ugre each other by saying "hmmm, yes girl, oh hell" and so on. But when we talk to males, they don't respond in the same way. They simply sit there and say nothing. Lades, its not that he is ignoring you. It's just that he's giving you his full attention. He hands you the mic and try not to talk so they don't interrupt. I think it's really cute. lol. On the other hand, women just complicate things. When their guys are talking to them on a serious level, women always want to be butting in and asking questions in between. Guys hate that! WE should just shut the hell up and listen! :-P But really chicas. Both sexes communicate differently. We need to understand that and we can't pressure men to conform. Try it and you'll notice that eventually, they'll simply give in to the way we do things. :-). After all, communication is the key to successful relationships!!
