Best Friends

I'm posting this in honor of my best friend. Her name is Ellen Alvarez and she's one of the coolest chicks I know. She's been my best friend for the past 13-and-a-half years and still loving it!! I love her and she's my favorite companion, advisor, secretary, party buddy, and anything else one can want in a friend.

Unfair Cases

I was watching the news last night and I came across a story of a police officer who was involved in an act that caused harm to a 13-year-old girl. The report said that there was a dog that was causing a disturbance so the officer (who was not even on duty at that time) fired a shot towards the ground. Either a pellet of pavement or the bullet ricocheted and hit the child in her arm.

The police press officer was interviewed and he claims that the officer was not in the wrong because he acted in fairness and did not fire with intent to harm but rather to scare the dog so it would retreat. The case will be investiated by the Criminal Investigation Branch (CIB) but the officer is one of the CIB's very own and some say that police officers look after their own.

I don't believe that this wil be a fair case if taken to court but I'd like to get your views on these types of situations. Do you think the officer did act in good faith? Do you believe he will be punished? What are your views towards our "Justice System"?

Just decided to do this post while we were on the topic of movies...
I know we may, at some point in our lives, have had a favorite cartoon

Movie Time!!

I was sitting at home watching this real hype action-packed movie. The name is "Street Fighter: The Legend of Chun-Li". It was soooo cool. It was about this chinese girl who thought her father was dead but he was actually being held captive by some other chinese dudes. Chun-Li (chinese chica) was on a real hard core mission to avenge her dad. So she bust up lotta big dudes. I think that's my new favorite movie!! Here's the chick:
